- How did you get the idea to create your own brand, your own mini-sewing production?Tell us about what you did before entering the clothing business.

It was the beginning.


- How did you get your first client? How to get the first orders? Where did your first customers come from and how quickly did you get them from the moment you opened?


In any business, this is the hardest part. I actively posted information on social networks. I have enough friends. My social media followers were my first clients. If you have a closed account and you do not communicate with anyone, it will be quite difficult for you to get customers. Then you need to invest a lot in advertising.


At the first stage, my sociability helped me. Plus, what I do, I constantly posted on social networks. We organized the first show. Gathered more than 100 people. Literally a month has not passed since the opening. Many of those who were at this show later became my clients. Somewhere something works right away and you need to be ready for this.


Then I participated in another fashion show in Moscow Fashion Channel. There was also a certain result. I talked about it a lot and showed it on social networks. For the first year and a half, I didn't do commercials at all. All people came only by "word of mouth" and from social networks.

There was a case when I decided that it was impossible to send off my collection, it is difficult and no one knows me yet. I decided that I would do custom tailoring. I had an installation that I need customers who place an order for at least 100,000 rubles. I went to one training. There she met other girls. I met two girls who were quite tall and found it difficult to find something for themselves in the store. Their height is 1.85m. They just needed clothes to order. They really started it all. To support production, I took orders for extras. Then I realized, it's better to do nothing than to do this! Little money and a very large production load. It doesn't look aesthetically pleasing either. I refused all these orders, although I had no ground for new ones. Then I started advertising on Instagram and actively use social media. I started advertising with bloggers. We don't sew that much. Now there are about 500 regular customers.


- What were the main difficulties you had? What can possibly happen? What did you encounter in practice?


There were no problems, there are problems all the time. I'm not a seamstress, I can't sew. These nuances had to be dealt with. Somewhere you can't do it. These difficulties will always arise. Management issues are also one of the difficulties.


- Do you have seasonal recessions?


I think that all the talk about the seasons is an excuse. In the summer we launched swimwear. We are now honing the technology, because it is new for us. Thanks to the orders that we have, we are improving the technology.

You can always come up with something new. If we are talking about the sale of women's clothing, then the field is not plowed !!! You need to come up with new models and offer them to your customers. The only month is January when everyone sleeps after the holidays. I tried to close this issue in December, having collected a large number of orders. This is where customization comes in handy. The main task is to think ahead. Season and off season are excuses in any kind of business. When you start building a business, it is better not to use any excuses. - How do you differ from your competitors? What allowed you to take your place under the sun? Why do your customers choose you and not your competitors?


Now business is done by people for people. Now it should be the face of the company, the face of the brand. It should be clear who is doing it. They buy from people! Clients came to me at the very beginning. In the beginning, something did not hold out, perhaps the quality or something else. Such moments are normal for becoming.

All people go to people. Any normal person is interested to see who he buys from! Now there is a sense in creating a personal brand, in pumping this brand. To be closer to my customers, to my clients, I launched a Youtube channel. On it I tell some women's secrets and my other affairs. I try to cover the life of a woman in many ways. You need to try to look for fabrics that others do not have. Many are purchased from the same places. And you can see that everything is repeated.


You need to look for what others do not have. But you don't have to be extravagant. My audience is women who go to work, to the office, live an ordinary life.

You don't need to sell things, you need to sell the image!!! Emotions make purchases. You need to convey emotions. The way a person will feel in these things. People make a choice in favor of brands because this is a special emotional state.


- If you rewind everything back, were there any situations in which you would have acted differently? If you started now, would you act differently? Or did you do something differently?


I would do things differently! A huge number of mistakes have been made. I got into a fight and decided that I would figure it out later ... I had no plan.

And you need to choose your target category of people. I did not have this target audience in my head initially. I would choose only three looks and work out the fit, quality, and everything exactly according to them. First, I would advertise them in social networks with the help of beautiful content, photos. Everything was wrong with me! I made a lot of models and did not advertise them anywhere. There was no focus on quality. All run-run.


- I think those who plan to start will take into account your experience. What is the very first step? Where should beginners start? Where would you advise a person who is just planning to create his own brand of women's fashion clothing to start?


You need to take this subject seriously. Much depends on the internal decision. This is a difficult business. Or very cool personal brand or well-designed advertising. Understand how much money you have and estimate how much it will last.

I would recommend getting yourself a mentor. You better find someone who has already walked this road. You alone take on a huge amount of cones. Chances are you'll get off your money. If there is no experience and education at all, then you need to have at least a large circle of friends.
