Thirty-degree temperatures, air circulation, stocking density - all this must be taken into account when moving chickens. To what extent it is possible to ensure all the indicated requirements is a rhetorical question;

  2. The need for a veterinary certificate. Transporting chicks from another region will require you to provide appropriate documentation, for which you will have to contact the veterinary department. As a rule, this formality takes a lot of time and effort;
  3. Acquisition low-quality goods. It is believed that poultry farms do not strive to sell the best specimens. Of course, it is unlikely that you will get half-dead chickens that will die in a few days, but it will be naive to hope that you will be presented with the strongest and healthiest individuals. It will probably take some time to get the purchased chickens healthy and fit;

  4. High price. If we compare the cost of a chicken from a poultry farm and a chicken from a private farm in terms of cost, then the price of the former will be an order of magnitude higher.

Private farmer

There are a number of farmers who sell chickens on a full-time basis. To purchase young animals from them, you need to contact the supplier and agree on a specific date. You may have to wait, because unlike a poultry farm, a private owner has a limited number of layers that acquire offspring.

The benefits of buying from the hands largely depend on the reliability of the supplier. Another indicator of hatchability is the height of the airbox. The higher this chamber is located, the lower the percentage of hatchability will be. First week
