4.5. Key strength tests should be carried out on equipment with a fixture having a mandrel with an internal hexagon with the dimensions indicated in Table 2. The mandrel must have a hardness of at least 61 HRC.

The short end of the key is inserted into the mandrel to a depth of , a load is applied to the long end of the key, gradually increasing until the specified torque is reached (Table 2).

The load should be applied smoothly without shocks and impacts, as close as possible to the end of the long arm. The magnitude of the moment is defined as the product of the applied load by the distance between the point of its application and the axis of the head.

After the test, the key shall show no permanent deformation or other defects affecting its use.

5. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

Transportation and storage of keys - according to GOST 18088.

6. REQUIREMENTS FOR SAFE OPERATION

6.1. When working with keys, it is not allowed to use additional levers and apply blows to the key.

6.2. The end of the key during operation must be inserted into the hexagonal hole of the fastener to the entire depth of the hole.

7. MANUFACTURER WARRANTY

7.1. The manufacturer must ensure that the keys comply with the requirements of this standard, subject to the operating and storage conditions established by this standard.

7.2. The warranty period of operation is 9 months from the date of sale through a retail trade network, and for non-market consumption - from the moment of receipt by the consumer.
