To make a leather cover, we need to take:

So, let's proceed to the first stage, making a cardboard backing for the cover. I want to warn you right away that the thickness of the product is decent, so the machine must flash thick layer. We put two binding rectangles 9.5 * 13.4 cm, cut out a strip of white thick cardboard 5.5 * 13.4 cm. bend).

Now on both sides we smear this strip with a glue stick and glue it on the binding cardboard, put it into a cover.

Now we cut off a piece of leather so that we get two pockets 5.5 cm wide and 19.8 cm wide for the width of the cover itself, and measure 18.5 cm in height, leaving it for the gates.

Now we measure a piece of padding polyester to the size of the binding blank. We glue the synthetic winterizer using pieces of double-sided tape.

Now we turn the sides of the leather cut and bast it with a thread with a needle.

Now we need a little imagination, we wrap the skin on top and sides, in order to figure out where we should place the picture and the inscription "Passport". With double-sided strips of adhesive tape we glue the inscription and the picture with the girl. We laminate the pictures so that when worn, the cover does not rub or get wet.

We sew both the picture and the inscription on the typewriter with white threads. Now we cut out a flower from the skin, insert a brad with a stone inside it, and in the upper corner we fix the tower with a metal brad.

We sew the sides of the cover with a typewriter already with burgundy threads. Turn the piece of leather face down and place the cardboard blank. Now we need to glue the twists using a glue stick.

We spread the upper part, press it well and hold it a little under pressure, then we do the same from the bottom. Now we grab the folds from above and below with a machine from both sides. We cut off a piece of scrap paper 13.2 * 19.3 cm.

We smear the entire cardboard surface with a glue stick and glue the scrap blank, smooth it and press it.

1. The main scourge of many, many works, in my opinion, is the wrong choice of materials. In particular, this inexplicable love for synthetic lace, nylon and tulle, as well as satin ribbons, which give a nasty shine and cheapen even the most good job. Of course, natural tulle is something from the realm of fantasy, but preference can always be given to more matte textures.

How to fix: very carefully approach the choice of materials, dwell on natural fabrics, it is advisable to choose them “live”, in some photos such a shine can be muted, but in reality the material will look cheap. If you see a synthetic shine - say categorically no to such a purchase!)

If you like cotton, you should prefer the American or Korean versions, it is more convenient for leatherette to take binding, but you can also work with ordinary haberdashery. 5. Ignorance of materiel or negligence.Let me explain: in pursuit of beauty, the scrap master does not always notice that the pictures or fabric are turned upside down, the text of some background piece of paper is far from the subject of the work, the object depicted in the work only vaguely reminds of reality.
