Download the business plan for the production of toilet paper. Starting a toilet paper business

Modern society cannot imagine its life without toilet paper. Because this product will always be in demand. Every year, the number of those who have decided to make the production of toilet paper their business is increasing.

The product range is very important in this case, especially considering that lately buyers are paying attention to soft three-layer or two-layer types. It all depends on individual desire.

Product varieties

Buyers are no longer satisfied with ordinary single-layer paper. On sale there are varieties consisting of two or three flavored layers. Some manufacturers apply an embossed pattern or entertaining inscriptions to their product. Rolls of various widths are supplied on cardboard or plastic sleeves. Mini-production of toilet paper can not be recognized as a profitable investment. This is a very promising business.

It is worth clarifying that the business in this area affects such activities as the production of paper towels for the kitchen, sanitary and ordinary napkins. In terms of technological toilet paper, it is no different from the manufacture of this type of product.

raw material

The basis for the manufacture of these products is waste paper.

This material is processed on special equipment. From it receive a sanitary and hygienic paper basis. It is then used to manufacture the specified products. Such raw materials for the production of toilet paper are supplied in rather heavy rolls up to 2 meters long.

In order to save money on the purchase of this material, you can get your own machine for recycling waste paper. Taking into account the cost of purchasing such equipment, the production of toilet paper will require a significant initial investment.

Proper preparation of a business plan and registration

For the manufacture of these products will require considerable financial investment. If we take into account the process of manufacturing the goods, then it will not be too complicated. First of all, you need to take care of the correct preparation of a business plan. Such a document includes clauses on registration, necessary equipment and marketing of products.

Before registering, find a suitable location for your future business. A small toilet paper factory can be located in a non-residential building with an area of over one hundred square meters. Instead of buying such premises, you can rent a production workshop with equipment already installed. After that, your future enterprise will be assigned a legal address, without which registration will be impossible.

For the correct implementation of this process, it is best to seek the help of qualified specialists. There are special organizations that offer high-quality services for the registration of legal entities.

toilet paper technology

As already mentioned, in order to save on the purchase of primary raw materials in the future, you can purchase your own waste paper processing equipment. This is important in this case. Naturally, the production of toilet paper itself, equipment for additional and subsequent marketing of products will require a lot of money, as well as time and effort. However, in the end, the benefits from such a case will be significant.

All machines require maintenance from time to time. To make this action faster, it is useful to buy toilet paper production equipment in nearby places.

The technology for the production of toilet paper is quite simple:

Toilet paper production: equipment, price

Careful preparation is necessary for the successful organization of this activity. In this case, you will need not one machine for the production of toilet paper, but at least four.

1. You will need a rewinder to rewind raw material rolls.

2. wound on cardboard sleeves. They can be purchased separately. However, it would be more expedient to purchase a bushing machine.

3. Long tubes of finished paper must be cut into rolls. This action is important. For this purpose, you will need a cutting machine.

4. Without a packaging machine, it will be difficult to send the products to the distribution points in the appropriate form.

All of the above equipment will cost you from 1 to 2 million rubles without shipping costs. However, there are additional costs in this case. These include the cost of delivery of units, training of personnel and adjustment of machines. All this is specified at the time of ordering the equipment.

Marketing Research

This is important in this case. In order to determine in which area it will be more profitable to sell products, marketing research is needed. This includes criteria for the selection of personnel and premises. You also need to make some calculations for expenses and income.

Staff

Having established this production, you, as a director, must hire from 5 to 10 workers. This group necessarily includes an accountant, 2-3 people to work with machines, as well as a security guard, drivers and several loaders. For you can use the services of the appropriate company.

room

This will require an individual approach. When choosing a room for this production, it is necessary to pay attention to its area. It must exceed 100 square meters. At first, it is better to focus on renting premises, rather than buying them. After all, the acquisition will require large investments, possibly loans. It is more profitable to rent a room on the outskirts of the city, in its environs or in the countryside. This will save money. Since the cost of identical offers in the city center will cost you much more. After determining the total area, it should be divided into zones. In the first, you need to locate a workshop with all the necessary equipment. The second zone is the room in which the original raw materials will be located. The third will house a warehouse where you will store finished products.

Implementation

The sale of this product should be discussed separately. For better demand, these products must have their own logo. There are designers who specialize in their creation. You can create your own logo if you wish.

The main base of your customers is wholesalers. To search for potential customers, there is advertising that can be placed in periodicals. In addition to this, you can call the wholesale bases with the offer of the specified product. Soon you will have your own clients.

Calculation of expenses and income

Let's talk about this in a little more detail. Costs in this case can be divided into one-time and monthly.

  • In the first case, the funds spent on the purchase of equipment and machine tools are taken into account. Registration of a legal entity and execution of all necessary documents also belong to this category. In total, one-time expenses will amount to over 1 million 320 thousand Russian rubles.
  • Monthly costs include rent for the premises, raw materials for the production of toilet paper and cardboard for the cores. To these funds should be added the costs of purchasing wrappers for packing rolls, glue, as well as electricity fees. It should not be forgotten that a certain amount will need to be spent on wages for employees.

If we compare the monthly expenses with the profit from the sale of goods, we get the amount of net income. After a certain consolidation in this market, you can expand your enterprise somewhat.

Conclusion

After analyzing the above, we can say with confidence that the production of toilet paper with the right approach is quite promising and profitable. Therefore, every self-confident entrepreneur can safely try himself in this field of activity. If everything is properly organized, then the profit will be significant.

The most profitable business is the one that produces products that are in constant demand. One of those essential items is toilet paper. Its release is quite cost-effective, but it has a number of features that a novice businessman needs to know about.

Gone are the days when toilet paper was in short supply. Today, this product is quite affordable, dozens of varieties of paper are offered to the attention of buyers: bleached, dyed, flavored, two and three-layer, decorated with drawings, especially soft and environmentally friendly. You can buy the coveted roll at any supermarket, kiosk or convenience store.

A wide supply makes it difficult for new entrepreneurs to enter the market. Among the complexities of this business:

  • large initial investment;
  • abundance of competitors;
  • possible implementation issues.

There are advantages to the paper business as well. Among the main ones:

  • stable demand for products;
  • availability of raw materials;
  • good selection of production equipment.
  • How to organize production: step by step instructions

The production of toilet paper as a business is possible in 2 versions. In the first, waste paper of all kinds is used as raw material, from newspapers to cardboard. In the second, a cellulose semi-finished product is taken for production.

The second way is much more expensive., therefore, a novice entrepreneur should focus on the production of a full cycle, which begins with the processing of waste paper.

Industrial production of toilet paper: equipment and cost

The main stage of production is the selection of a suitable room. The production workshop should be spacious enough, its optimal size is 150 square meters. m. The premises should be zoned, fencing off deposits for the storage of raw materials and products prepared for sale.

The workshop must be equipped with water supply, sewage and electricity connections are required. The most convenient option is to rent a room at the factory.

Buy production equipment. For the production of paper from the zero cycle, production lines are offered that can produce up to 1 ton of products per day. The kit includes: paper machine with the function of cleaning raw materials. It includes:

  • electric generator
  • breaker
  • paper mill
  • shaker
  • agitators
  • cutting machine
  • unwinding machine
  • packaging equipment
  • pasting table
  • equipment for the production of cardboard sleeves (optional).

On the market you can find many offers for sale and Choose an option that includes delivery, installation, repair and staff training.

Later, the production line can be supplemented with equipment for the production of paper towels, napkins and other products.

Buy raw materials. For the production of toilet paper, waste paper of any class is suitable: newspapers, cardboard, magazine and book, bleached and lined paper. For production, cardboard sleeves or cardboard for their production are needed, as well as nets and cloth. All materials must have certificates of conformity.

Manufacturing process: how does waste paper turn into toilet paper?

The production process consists of several stages. 1 worker copes with maintenance of the production line:

  1. Raw materials are sorted, cleaned, filled with water and crushed. After that, the paper mass enters the sieve, where it is freed from foreign inclusions.
  2. The paper mixture is washed in the tank. The purer the initial raw material, the less water is lost during the washing step.
  3. In a special mill the washed pulp is crushed and then fed into the pressure tank.
  4. The prepared mass is mixed with water. The liquid substance is poured onto the grid and distributed over it in an even layer. Excess water drains and is sent to wash a new portion of the raw material.
  5. The paper enters the drying drum, and after drying it is removed from the grid of the paper machine with a special knife. The resulting tapes are sent to the final dryer, after which they are wound into reels (with or without a sleeve), and then cut.
  6. The dried paper is embossed on an unwinder and then rewound. At this stage, it is possible to create multilayer paper.
  7. The finished reel is wrapped with a label and cut into finished rolls. Products are weighed and packed in film or cardboard boxes, which are delivered to the warehouse of products intended for sale.

Toilet Paper Business Plan: Costs and Profits

Full-cycle production requires large one-time investments. So the business plan for production includes:

  1. rent of premises (150 sq. m) - 75,000 rubles per month;
  2. production line - from 110,000 rubles.

The production of 1 ton of toilet paper will cost about 7,000 rubles. This amount includes the cost of raw materials, water, electricity, consumables, as well as the wages of the worker serving the line.

The wholesale cost of toilet paper is 5 rubles per roll, so the profit will be 3.7 rubles. Thus, from 1 ton of toilet paper, you can make a profit of 2,400 rubles.

and the order of their implementation in practice - in our new article at the link.

With a one-shift operation of the line and a five-day working week, the profit per month will be 520,000 rubles. After deducting all monthly expenses, the net profit is 280,000 rubles per month.

The profitability of the business is quite high, investments will pay off in 7-8 months.

Features of product sales

Despite the high demand, it is not easy to profitably sell the issued paper. Supermarkets are interested in large quantities of quality goods, but in order to force competitors off the shelves, they will not only have to lower the price, but also pay for the right to sell. As a result, profits will decrease significantly, despite the high turnover, the company will operate on the verge of breakeven.

A more profitable option is cooperation with chain stores of the “neighborhood” format, hardware stores, and small independent stores.

With outlets like this you can sign long-term contracts, providing constant channels of implementation.

Keep an eye on competitors' offers. A profitable market constantly attracts new players who can move you from your usual place at any time. To maintain a decent level of sales, you will have to monitor price changes, offer wholesalers interesting bonuses and discounts.

How toilet paper is produced in practice, you can find out in this video:

Toilet paper is one of the most important household items of a civilized person. Millions of rolls of this indispensable product are produced and used every day around the world. Not every entrepreneur knows how toilet paper is made. Meanwhile, the production of such a necessary hygiene product is one of the most promising investments.

Types of toilet paper

Rolled toilet paper appeared at the end of the 19th century and at first caused ridicule and embarrassment among the townsfolk. The demand for its production has increased significantly with the growth of population and the development of civilization. Modern toilet paper is significantly different from its progenitor and can be of several types:

Depending on the feedstock:

  • gray - made from waste paper (grades МС1, МС3, МС3, МС7 - cardboard, МС10 - newspapers);
  • white - made of cellulose.

By number of layers:

  • single layer;
  • two-layer;
  • multilayer (three or more layers).

Regardless of the grade, toilet paper must be strong, soft, highly hygroscopic and break into fibers when it enters the water. For its decoration, you can use only eco-friendly and neutral dyes that do not cause allergic reactions.

Production stages

The paper production process consists of several stages:

  1. Preparation of raw materials. Waste paper is cleaned of impurities, crushed in special crushers, mixed with water and filtered through a sieve that traps the remaining foreign objects.
  2. Preparation of water-paper mixture. The paper pulp is washed in a large amount of water and ground in a mill to a fine fraction. Then poured into a concentration stabilizer and adjusted to 0.5%.
  3. Drying. The resulting mixture is poured onto a conveyor mesh, along which it is directed to a drying drum. During the passage through the line, excess water drains and is sent to the flushing stage. In the drum, the paper mass dries, is cut into sheets and rolled into reels.
  4. Formation of rolls. The bobbins are unwound, embossed and the required number of layers are applied to the paper, and then rolled into rolls of the required diameter.
  5. Packing and calibration. Large rolls are labeled and cut into several small ones.

At the stage of formation, the paper can be dyed or applied on top with a decorative pattern with the manufacturer's logo.

Production equipment

It is impossible to complete the entire papermaking process with a single machine, so manufacturers install special lines or mini-factories. They consist of pulper, mixing tanks, paper machine, decoiler and cutter.

Pulper

A vertical cylindrical bath with blades in which waste paper with a small amount of water is broken into fibers and passes through a sieve of a certain caliber. The device is intended for grinding and purification of raw materials from impurities. Its capacity depends on the size and can reach up to 500 tons per day.

Mixing tanks

For the production of paper, several tanks of different volumes are used, in which a water-paper mixture of a certain concentration is gradually prepared. In the first container, the slurry cleaned from impurities is washed with a large amount of flowing and reverse (flush from the grid line) water, and ground to a fine fraction. The quality and price of the final product depends on the degree of purity. The resulting mixture enters the pressure tank and passes into the concentration stabilizer, where it is brought to a consistency of 0.5% of the mixture with water.

paper machine

The main element of the entire production, where the process of turning paper pulp into an integral canvas takes place. It consists of a mesh table, a press, an inlet device, dryer drums and a reel. From the tanks, the water-paper mixture enters a moving screen table, from which the liquid flows down and is pumped out by vacuum pumps into a special tank for further use in washing.

The pressed mass is pressed to remove residual moisture, after which it becomes dense and transparent. The raw material enters a cylindrical drying drum, where it is dried with hot steam under pressure up to 40% humidity at 10 revolutions per minute. The finished canvas is cut with a scraper knife and rolled into reels.

Bobbin unwinder

A device for forming toilet paper of a given diameter. The bobbins are unwound, embossed and patterned on the surface, and the canvas is wound on a cardboard core or directly into a roll.

Slicing device

At the final stage of production, the wound paper web is cut into small rolls with a diameter of 80 to 200 mm. Thanks to specially sharpened band knives, the productivity of the machine can reach up to 1200 units/hour.

The production of toilet paper is an uncomplicated and cost-effective enterprise. It does not require a lot of resources and, with the right organization of sales, quickly pays off.

Toilet paper manufacturing is a profitable and in-demand business. Any product for which there is a demand brings a significant profit to its manufacturer, and the demand for toilet paper is quite large.

If earlier this product was a luxury and was not found in every home, now toilet paper belongs to public hygiene items, and it is very difficult to do without it.

Since the product is in great demand, there are many large and small enterprises that manufacture it. Despite the great competition in this production niche, it is cost-effective and profitable to produce toilet paper.

What is toilet paper made from?

Paper is made from recycled paper. At the same time, you can purchase ready-made raw materials, or purchase special equipment for its production. The finished sanitary-hygienic base is sold in rolls, the length of which reaches 2 meters. The weight of such a roll reaches 600 kg.

When making a product from prepared raw materials, you save money at the initial stage of production, at which waste paper is cleaned of foreign objects, crushed and thoroughly washed. However, if you are interested in the production of toilet paper in large volumes, it is more profitable to install a line for the preparation of raw materials than to buy it every time.

If waste paper is used as a raw material for the production of toilet paper, it is necessary to distinguish it by grade (MC1 - MC11). For the production of toilet paper, it is desirable to take waste paper MC1, MC2, MC3, MC7 (cardboard), MC10 (newspapers).

Toilet paper manufacturing process

The product is produced in stages:

  1. Initially, waste paper is cleaned of foreign objects, crushed in crushers, water is added, mixed and filtered through a production sieve that catches the remaining paper clips, stones, glass, etc.
  2. Paper production requires a significant amount of water, since in the second stage the raw material is sent to baths for washing with running and reverse water. Quality products are washed long enough to be whiter and cleaner. A lower quality product requires less water (the paper is darker in color).
  3. In the mill, the raw material is ground to a finer fraction and a water-paper mixture is produced.
  4. Next, the mass enters a container in which the composition of the raw material is controlled (the ratio of water and paper pulp), after which the prepared mixture is sent to the paper machine.
  5. The bale production line starts with a special conveyor mesh onto which the mixture is poured. Excess liquid flows into the tank and is sent to the paper washing stage (return water). The paper mass goes through the conveyor into the drying drum, the temperature of which reaches 110 ̊С. The drum rotates evenly, and the raw material dries up. Then, using a scraper knife, the dried mass is cut into sheets and rolled into bobbins.
  6. At the next stage, an unwinding machine is installed, which unwinds the bobbins and rolls the paper into finished rolls. Here, embossing is applied to the paper and the necessary structure is formed (2, 3 layers). The roll has the length of a reel, and its diameter is equal to the diameter of the finished roll of toilet paper.
  7. At the final stage, a label is applied to the roll and it is cut into small rolls ready for use. Rolls must have a strictly regulated weight. After weighing, they are packed into boxes and sent to the consumer.

Toilet paper production equipment

If some types of production can be implemented using a single machine that performs several functions, then the production of toilet paper is possible using production lines and mini-factories. Consider an electric plant with an energy consumption of up to 60 kW/h.

Pulper

The device is a vertical cylindrical bath in which special blades are installed. When they rotate, waste paper with the addition of water is broken into fibers and removed from the pulper through a special sieve that traps foreign objects. Depending on the needs of production, a pulper with a capacity of up to 400-500 tons / day can be installed on the line.

Bucky

paper machine

The productivity of the installation is 1 - 2 tons / day. Getting into the paper machine, the mixture is directed to its net honor, which is in continuous motion.

Here the excess water drains (on its own and with the help of vacuum devices) and the paper, distributed over the entire mesh, is spun using the Couch roller. At the same time, the squeezed water enters the register water collector, from which, as it is filled, it is pumped into the tanks, where the waste paper is washed.

After squeezing, the raw material is sent to the press section, where the paper is pressed and the remaining water is removed. Raw materials become more transparent and dense, porosity decreases and technical characteristics improve. The paper is then dried in a tumble dryer. Hot steam can be additionally supplied to the cylindrical drum for faster and better drying.

The drum speed is about 10 rpm, while its surface is evenly heated, which allows you to remove 65% of moisture from the paper stock. At this stage of production, a finished toilet paper sheet is obtained.

Next, the canvas is wound into bobbins and proceeds to the next stage. Power consumption of the paper machine 160-200 kW/h (depending on productivity), web width ≤ 1250 mm, water consumption ≥ 3 m3/day.

Video: toilet paper production line.

Bobbin unwinder

At this stage of the production of toilet paper, the bobbins are unwound, and rolls of a given diameter are formed from them. With the help of rollers, embossing or drawing is applied to the paper, the number of layers is formed, and the product is wound on a cardboard sleeve or a log (roll) is directly formed.

The diameter of the bobbins that the machine can work with is ≤ 1300 mm, and the log diameter is ≤ 120 mm. The motor power is 1.5 kW, the weight of the machine is 470 kg. This toilet paper production equipment can form a dense log and make the paper softer.

Slicing machine

At the final stage, the rolls are cut to the desired height. The machine allows you to set the required height of rolls (80 - 200 mm). The productivity of the plant reaches 1200 rolls/hour.

Cutting occurs due to a tape knife (movement speed 25-27 m/s), with a sharpening mechanism provided. The engine power of the machine is 1.5 kW, and the weight of the machine is 150 kg.
Mini toilet paper mill has the following advantages:

  • ease of installation;
  • high performance;
  • service by 3-4 employees.

Toilet paper production is neither complicated nor expensive. The initial material investment for the purchase of equipment quickly pays off due to the high demand and low cost of raw materials. The main thing is to correctly select equipment, organize production and sales.

Video: toilet paper production as a business.

Modern, high-quality and pleasant to the touch toilet paper is in stable demand. To organize a mini-production, you need a little: a spacious room with communications and several machines.

toilet paper technology

Preparation of raw materials: waste paper is cleaned of impurities, crushed and moistened. Served on a sieve, where small inclusions (glasses, paper clips) are sifted out.

Washing of raw materials: the cleaned mass enters the tank, where it is thoroughly washed. The price and quality of the finished product depends on how thoroughly the raw materials are cleaned.

Grinding: wet raw materials are ground into a homogeneous mass and transported to a pressure vessel.

Achieving concentration: the mass is poured into a tank, where the necessary amount of water is added to give the raw material the necessary properties.

Production of roll blanks: the mass is fed to the paper machine in a uniform layer. Water flows through the kapron network, the mass is transported along the grid to the drying shaft. It rotates slowly, the mass is dried with steam at +120 degrees. The dried semi-finished product is cut off with a scraper-type knife. Almost finished paper is dried and wound onto the sleeves.

Rewinding and embossing: The reel is passed to the equipment for embossing and rewinding into a long roll. Next, it will be packaged and cut into pieces of standard length.

Raw materials for production

Waste paper of different categories is used as a raw material for the full production cycle:

  • white lined paper;
  • cardboard;
  • book and magazine paper;
  • White paper;
  • newspapers.

Coated and glossy paper is not suitable as a raw material. With an accelerated cycle, ready-made cellulose hygienic raw materials are used. Mini-production brings less profit than a full cycle.

Toilet paper production equipment

The full cycle of manufacturing toilet paper from waste paper involves the use of the following machines:

  • a paper machine, which consists of a pulper, an electric generator, a vibrating sieve, a mill, a washing device, mixers, cleaners;
  • machine for cutting rolls;
  • bobbin-unwinding equipment;
  • packaging machine;
  • pasting apparatus;
  • machine for the manufacture of cardboard sleeves.

If you plan a mini-production for the processing of paper blanks of a sanitary and hygienic category, you can limit yourself to:

  • rewinding and winding machine;
  • cutting;
  • packaging.

Main Features of Rewinding Machine

  • The productivity of a mini-factory with a full cycle is from 1 ton of finished products per day with an efficiency of up to 90%;
  • all types of machines work with raw materials with a density of 13 to 40 grams per cubic meter;
  • linear speed is about 200 meters per minute;
  • water consumption is more than 3 cubic meters per day;
  • the maximum number of layers of finished toilet paper is 3;
  • most modern machines are equipped with perforation rollers;
  • maximum width and diameter of the bobbin: width varies from 13 to 26 cm, diameter up to 110 cm;
  • engine power from 5.5 to 11 kW;
  • Three people are needed to operate the mini-factory.

Automatic lines for the production of toilet paper are equipped with options for stopping the movement in the absence of cores, breakage of the tape. As well as automatic tape cutting, sleeve loading.

Powerful machines are equipped with pneumatic devices for starting and stopping the perforation mechanism, approaching and removing calendering rollers, loading the bay.

Main Features of the Rewinder

The machine is used to rewind the sanitary warp into logs of the required diameter. In the future, rolls of toilet paper or paper towels are made from them.

A bobbin with a base is fixed on the shaft, which is passed through the embossing rollers and wound into a log or onto a cardboard sleeve. The log (a long roll of paper ready to be cut) enters the cutting machine, where rolls are formed for sale.

Characteristics:

  • maximum diameter and width of the reel;
  • maximum width and diameter of the log;
  • voltage and frequency of the mains;
  • power and frequency of rotation of the electric motor;
  • number of electric motors;
  • method of changing the speed;
  • dimensions and weight of the machine.

Using a bobbin unwinder allows you to achieve the following results:

  • softening of finished products;
  • denser winding on the sleeve;
  • paper embossing - improves appearance and quality;
  • small defects are removed.

It is advisable for mini-workshops for the production of toilet paper from the finished base to purchase a reel unwinding machine complete with a roll-cutting machine.
