Night market pattaya opening hours. The largest and most famous Markets in Pattaya

There was a time when we went to the night market in Pattaya for several days in a row. And then they stopped. Yes, at first glance Pattaya night market looks huge and diverse, but in reality… In general, be sure to read this article before you go there!

Night market in Pattaya: reviews, prices, photos, place on the map

The night market in Pattaya is the one on Tepprazit, not far from Tesco Lotus and Outlet Mall (place on the map at the end of the article). It is only open three days a week: Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All other days, the night market in Pattaya works, let's say, in restaurant mode: only ready-made food is sold there. So, do not eat this food - our first and main recommendation for this market.

The night market in Pattaya (pictured) is open only three days a week.

Night market in Pattaya: why you can’t eat there

Because unsanitary conditions, that's why. The weekend night market in Pattaya is divided into two sectors: the first sells food, the second sells manufactured goods. Our today's tour of the market begins in the first sector. And let this part of the walk be over quickly, okay? Because the smells here, of course, are breathtaking: on outdoors Huge vats of seafood, all kinds of soups, vegetables and stews are boiling ... Of course, street food in Pattaya, but the night market on Tepprazit Street offers such a variety that it just makes your eyes run wide!

When we first came to the night market in Pattaya, we also could not resist and ordered a plate of some Thai brew for ourselves. Of course not, but delicious. However, the sight of how the dishes are being washed has beaten off our appetite. She bathed right a meter away from us, in a basin of cold water (and where is the other one from?), in which one batch of dishes replaced another. At the same time, the water, of course, was still the same - muddy and dirty. And from this dish, everyone (including us) ate inexpensive Thai food with pleasure. Doesn't sound very appetizing, does it?

But it looks very appetizing. If you can't wait to try it, it's best to take your food with you. The night market in Pattaya is not the place where you think about the cleanliness of the dishes.

We went around the entire night market in Pattaya, and everywhere the dishes were washed only in this way. And where to go to the sellers, since there are no premises with running water? The question is rhetorical. So the night market in Pattaya works on the principle of “if you don’t like it, don’t eat it.” So we didn't. So our advice: if you come to the night market in Pattaya and decide to buy food, do not eat it there - take it with you. Moreover, the food there is very diverse: not only soups and stews, but also sweets, hot corn, fruits ... And also - mmm, yummy! 😉

Hope for clothes

We quickly move to the second part of the market - where clothes, souvenirs and other important household items are sold. And we are faced with a serious problem: although the night market in Pattaya is divided into several long-and-and-and-other clothing rows, it is not so easy to buy normal clothes there. It is possible, but difficult.

At first we wanted to buy shorts for Olya there. But it turns out that the night market in Pattaya is mainly designed not for tourists (which would be logical), but for Thais. This is manifested, firstly, in the design: for some reason, Thais are very fond of shorts with a very high belt. And secondly, in size: for us, these are essentially children's things. And even for a slender European girl, almost all the local shorts turned out to be small. The same story was repeated with sneakers for me: men's shoes on the market in bulk, but the largest size that I could find was 42. But I could not buy a cap for another reason. First, there are very few of them. And secondly, those that exist are of such a style ... Well, only these wear them, like them ... In general, either performers of African American folk music, or representatives of sexual minorities. Fortunately, I am not one of those or the other.

But not everything is so bad (I'm not talking about myself, but about the night market in Pattaya). What is really in bulk there is T-shirts - and not designed for Thais, but for adults with a normal human physique. Of course, almost all of them are with elephants, but an elephant is a beautiful animal, it won’t ruin a T-shirt. Besides, everyone is in Pattaya, right? 😉 Also, you can safely go to the night market in Pattaya if you need a new phone case and a belt - well, for example, if your child tore your old mobile phone case. There are also a great many of them, while the prices are the most democratic. Fortunately, the Thai iPhone is the same as the Europeans, so it doesn't need a narrower case.

And people come to the night market in Pattaya to buy animals. But since Thailand is a country of prohibitions and pets cannot be kept in the local condos, the animals are only toys.

Night market in Pattaya: prices for some goods

  • Baseball caps - from 100 baht,
  • T-shirts - from 100 baht,
  • Belts - from 100 baht,
  • Shorts - from 150 baht,
  • Cases for mobile phones - from 100 baht,
  • A plate of any prepared food - from 50 baht,
  • A glass of fried insects - 20 baht.

The Pattaya Park Night Market in Pratumnak is considered to be the same tourist market as the Jomtien Mill Market. Here you can buy fruits, clothes, souvenirs, as well as a full and inexpensive meal. But unlike Jomtien, we almost never visit the Pratumnak market, although we live next to it.

This is how the Russian market in Pattaya meets tourists in Russian

Pratamnak night market. Plenty of empty tables that fill up in the evening

For some reason, we personally did not like this market. We come here occasionally to buy something from fruits, nothing more. Why we do not buy anything on it will tell right now.

Features of Pattaya Park Market

In all cities of Thailand, we visit local Thai markets of this type. Night markets usually always sell ready-made food, all sorts of kebabs, shrimp, soups. In general, you can eat delicious food. In the Pratamnak market, the situation is different:

  • No holiday and fun
  • If music is playing, then it must be Russian
  • Much less choice Thai food than other markets. For example, Slava has never found ordinary Thai skewers there for 10-20 baht. And even chicken in batter, which are sold by Muslim women, can never be found here. Only huge kebabs on skewers, like in Russia. By the way, our friends, who once came to visit us very hungry, liked the barbecue.

Where can I order a transfer from the airport?

We use the service - KiwiTaxi
Ordered a taxi online, paid by card. We were greeted at the airport with a sign with our name on it. We were taken to the hotel in a comfortable car. You have already talked about your experience In this article.

And the main disadvantage that I would attribute to this market is the stale type of dishes. In any case, we thought so.

Having settled in the Pratumnak area, at first we walked, looked at the market, then went in once, a second, a third, a fourth, and each time we left empty-handed. Of those meat dishes that Slava eats, he could buy ribs. But they are always kind of leeward, or something.

It’s not even about disgust, but about the fact that it’s somehow not easy to buy winded meat, which most likely has been lying here since yesterday or the day before yesterday. Yes, and why do this when there are so many cool markets in Pattaya with mouth-watering and freshest dishes.

I suspect that in the Pratamnak market, this situation is probably only in the low season. Maybe the sellers don’t sell food on the first day, they post yesterday’s food. Or maybe all these cutlets and cabbage rolls are prepared according to a special recipe. Shrimps and seafood seem to be normal.

We sometimes buy fruits here. They are no different. Because they don't need to be cooked.

Some tourists here eat at tables. But in this market there are much fewer of them than in other markets in Pattaya. The night market in Jomtien, for example, is full of people even in the low season.

conclusions

The market will be useful to you if you are staying at and you are not lovers of Thai cuisine. Come here for lunch or dinner, here you can eat a little cheaper than in Russian restaurants on the same street. Buy fruit, prices are the same as other places. There are baskets for transporting fruits on the plane.

It's the beginning of November now. While Teprazitta is not overcrowded, Pratumnak market rarely has a line at the stalls and, in principle, an abundance of people. There are always free tables. So, if you also don’t like this market, like us, we gave you a tip where to go (along the embankment 30 minutes on the left side to Jomtien).

Write in the comments if you have been to this market, how do you like this place? Did you eat here? And which Pattaya market do you like best?

In some cities, such objects are historical castles, in others - shops or beaches. As for, popular with tourists is the famous Thepprasit Market Still, this is a great place for shopping! Also, before visiting this place, you should know.

You should not be afraid that, having got to the specified night market, the tourist will move to the exotic Middle Ages. Its attraction is completely different.

It radically transforms the night market on weekends. Three days from Friday to Sunday evening market in pattaya turns into an unimaginable and grandiose fair, where almost everything is sold. Therefore, all tourists are recommended to visit Thepprasit Market on weekends. It is very interesting and fascinating to personally observe how the market becomes a heap of chaotically placed shops and tents that have no end in sight.

On weekdays, Thepprasit Market night market is similar to most Thai bazaars, represented by many:

  • souvenir shops;
  • food tents;
  • stalls selling various animals.

Markets are not only things, clothes and shoes…

In Pattaya, today, there is a fairly large number of different markets. Among them are clothing, food and fruit, fish, night (evening). There are both very small ones for several tents, and quite large ones, occupying a decent area. We don’t even dare to name the exact number of various markets in Pattaya.

Night markets in Pattaya actually work in the evenings. Night - it rather means that it closes almost at night. As a rule, such markets work from about 17.00 to 23.00

But some of them are more famous than others. They are popular for various reasons, some because of their convenient location, others because of their scope, some are simply very popular with tourists. Some markets operate mainly for tourists only. There are some that the locals love to visit. We will tell about such, the largest and most famous markets. Naturally, gradually and whenever possible, we will add new markets.

Thepprasit Night Market

The very famous night market on Teprazit Street is the biggest in the city. The market got its name from the name of the street on which it is located.

There are a lot of clothes and shoes for sale. Here you can find various accessories, glasses, bags. Children's toys and puzzles. Jomtien Night Market

This market is no less famous than the previous one. First of all, it is very conveniently located across the road from the sea in the center of the popular Jomtien Beach. So, it is within walking distance for vacationers here.

This market is informally called "Russian Market", and this is due to the fact that guests from Russia really like it. In this regard, almost everything here is focused on Russians - most of the price tags are in Russian and there are plenty of Russian dishes. The clothing malls here are not as big as in the Teprazit market, and the main purpose of visiting tourists is dinner and socializing. Open daily from 17.00 to 24.00

Fish market in Pattaya - Naklua Fish Market

A very famous seafood market in Pattaya. It offers the freshest seafood in a very large assortment. If you are a big connoisseur or just want something new, you should definitely visit here.

A small disadvantage is that it is a bit far from Jomtien and the Center. But it's easy to get to by songteo, see the article about the market for more details. The market is located near the fishing piers in Naklua and therefore the goods come here almost directly from the sea. Fresh simply does not happen!

The market is very popular with both locals and tourists. In addition to the fact that you can buy anything here, you can immediately prepare all purchases right on the market and arrange a delicious lunch for yourself. The market is open daily from 06.00 to 17.00

A large clothing market in the very center of Pattaya, which is located on Second Road, not far from shopping center Central Festival Pattaya. A bunch of malls placed under a large roof, so that the rain is not a hindrance to shopping. Despite its name, the market is in full swing during the day.

The main goods here are clothes, shoes and various accessories. A very large selection of bags and suitcases, as well as souvenirs and cosmetics. Among the general mass of departments, some stand out for interesting and unique things, and they also sell paintings here. The market is open daily from about 10.00 to 23.00 and is very convenient for its location, especially for those living in the center.

Markets on the map of Pattaya

Geographically, the markets are of course located far from each other, but they are, in principle, easy to get to by songteo (tuk-tuk).

Pattaya is a Thai resort city located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. This city is full beautiful places and sights, but at night the city begins a real seething life, completely erasing the colors of monotony from daytime everyday life.

There are a wide variety of markets in the city, and each of them has something to boast about. Somebody low prices, for which it is not even worth bargaining, because further only for free, others - with quality products and a variety of choices, and someone with delicious, and most importantly, affordable food.

Pattaya night markets

If you are a gourmet and a lover of discovering something new and tasty, then you are definitely here. This popular night market, located where Sukhumvit Road and Thepprasit Road intersect, is open from Friday to Sunday from 17.00 to 24.00.

A very original place where you simply forget about your diet, because this market has the largest variety of Thai food in affordable price which is already exotic for tourists. The most interesting thing is that food is served here exactly in the form in which the Thais themselves eat it.

Of course, this market also sells clothes and various souvenirs, but it is this night market that people come to eat, and most importantly, tasty and cheap.

At the beginning, you will be greeted by mountains of various exotic and not quite fruits, and from all this bright range, filled with a mass of useful vitamins, your eyes run wide. Fruits cost up to about 100 baht.

But as you go deeper, you'll be greeted by boiling vats of soups, broths, and various curries that carry their mouth-watering scents through the aisles, enticing patrons.

But it wasn’t there, a lot of sweets await you even deeper, from which you simply cannot refuse, forgetting about your satiety. Sweets will delight you with their prices from 20.50 baht.

The only one in Pattaya, which is located on Sukhumvit Road, to the left of the road towards the store "Macro". The market is completely new, it opened in 2008, especially as an entertainment for visitors, and is often included in tourist programs. But, despite this, the advice to spend at least half a day there on your own will not be superfluous, and it works until 21.00.

The market is a structure of a system of small wooden houses that stand on stilts and are located right on the water. Inside this market, where there are peculiar channels, merchants swim, selling mainly fruits and seafood, as well as in the houses themselves. The area itself is quite large and is divided into four parts, so it is quite easy to get lost there. But in this case, look under your feet and follow the arrows that will take you where you need to go.

You can walk around the market on foot, along wooden paths and bridges, but you can also swim along the canals by boat, like in Venice, but this will not be free. Today, a boat trip costs about 200 baht per person.

On the territory of more than a hundred markets, products are designed specifically for tourists: a wide variety of souvenirs, clothes, jewelry, as well as fruits, etc. Product prices are about the same as in many markets in Pattaya.

But in addition to shops, the market has a lot of different cafes and restaurants where you can satisfy your hunger. There is also something like a small theater where impromptu skits and Thai boxing are performed every day. There is also a 4D cinema.

The night market, which is located at the address: Second Road street opposite the Festival shopping center, is open from 9.00 to 23.00. The market is quite popular with tourists, attracting them with extremely low prices. Basically, souvenirs, clothes, shoes and other small things are sold there.

There is a rather interesting company store in the bazaar, which is called Black or White, where various rocker-themed T-shirts and T-shirts are sold, you can also find a luminous T-shirt. Actually, there are many shops with a similar theme, but more extensive and the best choice right here. The average price is 170 baht, but if you bargain, they will make a discount, albeit not a big one.

Here you can even find bags made of crocodile, but they will also have a corresponding price. From 5000 baht. There is also a fish massage on the market, which is one of the cheapest in the city, it will be 80 baht for 20 minutes.

Well, for your convenience, there is an exchanger on the territory of the bazaar, where you can exchange your rubles for baht at an extremely favorable rate.
