Congratulation of the Governor of the Ryazan region Oleg Kovalev on the Day of the worker of agriculture and processing industry

Dear workers of the agro-industrial complex of the Ryazan region and industry veterans! I heartily congratulate you on your professional holiday - the Day of the Worker of Agriculture and Processing Industry!

In the structure of the economy of the Ryazan region, the agro-industrial complex occupies a leading position, demonstrating sustainable development dynamics. The most serious attention is paid to the agricultural sector in the region. Favorable conditions are being created for its effective operation, increasing the volume of agricultural production, modernizing the industry, inflowing investments, and hence raising the standard of living in the countryside.

The workers of the agricultural sector were able to quickly respond to the changed economic conditions and today they are effectively solving the problems of developing the agro-industrial complex of the region, including in terms of import substitution. Ryazan high-quality, environmentally friendly agricultural products deservedly enjoy consistently great demand, both on the regional market and in other regions of the Russian Federation.

Today, the Ryazan Region fully provides for its own food needs. Ryazan rural workers achieve consistently high production rates. Recently, the grain harvest in the region exceeds 1.5 million tons. The Ryazan region is among the leaders of the Central Federal District in terms of milk production, sugar beet yields and a number of other areas. The agrarians of the Ryazan Territory were able to achieve such results thanks to daily selfless work, high professionalism, responsible attitude to business, and skillful use of modern technologies.

I wish all the workers of the agro-industrial complex of the region, veterans of the industry, agricultural scientists, workers in the food and processing industry - everyone whose life is connected with peasant labor, good health, prosperity and new successes in their work for the benefit of the Ryazan Territory!

Congratulation of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ryazan Region Sergey Dudukin on the Day of the Worker of Agriculture and Processing Industry

Dear workers, veterans of the agro-industrial complex and enterprises of the processing industry of the Ryazan region!

I heartily congratulate you on your professional holiday, which unites all those who selflessly love their native land and work on it for the good of the country.

A farmer, a grain grower, a machine operator, a livestock breeder, a farmer are professions that are closest to the earth. This is the work that we see every day in every loaf of bread and mug of milk on our tables. It requires professional skill, patience and great love for the land. You have taken on your shoulders the concern of national importance, ensuring the food security of the country, supplying your fellow countrymen with high-quality, environmentally friendly and affordable food. This is a responsible and difficult, but honorable work. And the profession you chose at the call of your heart is one of the most important.

This year has become another test of strength for the village workers. But you have made every effort to adequately solve the challenges facing the industry. The sown areas were increased both under the main crop - cereals - by 5.6%, and under highly profitable crops: sunflower (by 45.5%) and sugar beet (by 8.3%). In terms of the yield of soybean, a crop that not only brings a high income, but is also the most promising today, we are among the top three leaders in the Central Federal District. The same result is achieved by our farmers in sugar beet harvesting, having increased the yield compared to 2015 by 97.7 centners per hectare.

Livestock breeding, one of the priority branches of the agro-industrial complex of the region, also gives positive dynamics this year. In 2016, dairy farming is developing along an intensive path and investing in production. Gross production growth is still ensured by productivity growth and by the end of the year it is expected at the level of 5,700 thousand kilograms. Leaders in milk production receive more than 8,000 kg of milk. Our livestock breeders not only fully meet the needs of the region with their own milk, but also supply 46% of the products outside the region. And many years of work to improve the quality of milk produced allows today to increase the sale of milk of the highest grade from 12% to 82%.

The growth of production in the agro-industrial complex of the region, in turn, directly affects the growth of incomes of rural workers. And the personnel policy of the Government of the region, support for young professionals, construction of housing, schools, feldsher-obstetric stations, roads, laying gas and water networks in the countryside have been and remain our priority.

The agro-industrial complex is the most important driving force of the socio-economic development of our region. We are following the path of modernizing production, working together to address issues of the social sphere in the countryside. I am sure that with the support of the Government of the region, the participation of business, and the assistance of the federal center, our agricultural sector will become stronger and more profitable, and life in the countryside will become more comfortable and attractive.

With all my heart I wish you good health, joy, prosperity, rich harvests and new production successes!
