Historical and local lore project focused on publishing and educational activities “The distance of the past is next to us. Project of local history activities “My small Motherland” Project for the local history library

Dear readers, you are at the starting point for all local history projects created by the National Library of the Komi Republic in cooperation with local historians, scientists, writers, libraries and other organizations.

Komi is a land with a rich and harsh nature, multilingual working people. This is the taiga with its berries and mushrooms, the mountain peaks of the Urals, the leading Russian industrial enterprises, gas and paper for all of Europe. But also the Gulag, exiles and prisoners. As well as ancient customs, unique works of art and literature.

How many unknowns from the life of our region we managed to discover in the course of work on projects. And how much more to come!

Our resources are created in the form of thematic sites, databases, publications specially written for the site. Here are collected the full texts of particularly valuable, reliable and relevant books, magazines and newspapers. Significant names and dates for the Komi land, interactive games, virtual travels are presented. We hope that each of you will find the necessary and useful information.

Full-text electronic library, includes publications on the history, development and current state of the economy, science and culture of the Komi Republic, works of art, music manuscripts, periodicals from 1920 to the present. The corporate project involves public access centers, the largest fund-holders of the Republic of Komi of various departments and authors. Text in Russian, Komi and other Finno-Ugric languages.

Depending on whether the publication included in the NEL is “public domain” or is under the protection of legislation in the field of copyright and related rights, what conditions are stipulated in the agreement with the copyright holders, there are three levels of access: remotely without authorization, remotely with authorization (you must enter the name and number of the NL RK library card) and in the project.

A site for those who are interested in the history, geography and culture of the Komi Republic.

Here you will read about social institutions, tourist routes and specially protected areas of cities and regions of the Republic. Get to know artists, sculptors, writers, composers of the Komi Republic, national festivals and creative unions, memorable places, architectural structures and centers of arts and crafts.

The cultural map of the Komi Republic has been translated into the Komi language. In 2011, the Finnish M. Kastren Society provided a grant for the implementation of this idea.

The Internet resource includes biographies of 17 New Martyrs, photographs dedicated to saints and bibliographic information for additional study of the topic.

Created by the National Library of the Komi Republic in 2018 with the support of the International Open Grant Competition "Orthodox Initiative".

The legendary heroes of the Komi legends are Pam, Shypicha, Kort-Aika, Yirkap, Yag-Mort, Pera, Vörsa, Vasa, Yoma and others.

Illustrations, cartoons, videos, full texts and audio recordings of fairy tales and works by Kallistrat Zhakov and Ivan Kuratov in Russian and Komi languages.

Reference information for teachers, parents, pupils and students.

The mythological map was created in 2018 at the expense of the republican budget as part of a grant from the Head of the Komi Republic in the field of librarianship.

On the virtual map you will find monuments, memorial plaques, institutions and streets named after the writers of the Komi Republic: Ivan Kuratov, Viktor Savin, Nikolai Dyakonov, Kallistrat Zhakov, Vasily Yukhnin and others.

Click on the icon on the map and solve a literary puzzle, test, rebus, crossword puzzle, musical guessing game, assemble a puzzle. It didn’t work out right away - go back to the hint and read about the literary attraction. For correct answers you will be awarded points. The most successful players will receive a winner's diploma.

This site will be useful for local historians and teachers, parents, schoolchildren and students, organizers of competitions and literary tournaments for children and youth. The National Library of the Komi Republic implemented the project in 2016 using a grant from the Head of the Komi Republic in the field of librarianship for the 95th anniversary of the Republic.

Photos and documents from the family archives of the residents of the Komi Republic. Articles from newspapers published in the republic during the Great Patriotic War.

The site was created in 2015 with the support of the Grant of the Head of the Komi Republic for the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The Internet resource introduces films that were shot in the Komi Republic, talks about actors - our fellow countrymen, as well as about famous Russian films based on the works of local authors.

The media resource includes photographs, frames from films, interesting eyewitness details about the shooting from old newspaper publications. We created this website in 2016 for the Year of Russian Cinema and the 95th anniversary of the Komi Republic.

We invite you to listen to the works of the writers of the Komi Republic - Elena Gabova, Elena Kozlova and Tamara Lombina - in the author's performance. Here you will also find folk tales in Russian and Komi languages.

With us you can spend a pleasant evening with your family or organize an educational event for children.

The National Library of the Komi Republic implemented this idea in 2015 in the Year of Literature. The project was supported by the Union of Writers of the Komi Republic.

Addressee of program activity

The population of the Sretensky district is from 14 years of age and older.

The preservation, development and popularization of the intangible cultural heritage of the peoples of the Trans-Baikal Territory plays an important role in the social, economic, cultural and political development of the region. The intangible has always surrounded and continues to surround us, these are customs and rituals, fairy tales and folk songs, geographical names and the local language dialect. After all, the power of memory is what it is, nobility and high citizenship. Everything is passed down from generation to generation, forming in us a sense of originality and continuity, thus contributing to the development of each person.

Since ancient times, all this carried a great semantic and linguistic load, but at present, in most cases, this is lost. Consequently, modern man is forced to “dig out”, to study his land. All this often becomes the topic of numerous library events and research. MUK MCB has accumulated and collected rich and ethnographic material that requires generalization and publication in a single thematic collection dedicated to the 325th anniversary of the city of Sretensk.

The collection “Testaments of Good Old Times” will include folklore and ethnographic materials published in various sources, as well as collected and recorded in our region (for example, N. Pushmin’s tales, songs about Sretensk written by local authors I. Chistyakova, S. Glazov and Yu. Karasev). For the first time, an attempt will be made to present and group the material in thematic sections: such as fairy tales, a toponymic dictionary of the names of villages and villages, “Words of the country of Gurania”, songs about the city of Sretensk, etc. The collection will not repeat published books on the history of Sretensk.

This collection will make a certain contribution to the historical and literary heritage of the region. The collection will help awaken a sense of pride, respect and respect for their Little Motherland, attract the interest of the inhabitants of the Trans-Baikal Territory to the Sretensky District, expand the circle of library users and, hopefully, become a gift edition for guests of the region.

Expected results

  1. Publication of the collection "Testaments of good antiquity".
  2. Improving the work of the library on local history (increase in document issuance and public events by 20%)
  3. Attracting new readers to the library (by 20%)
  4. Improving the image of the library.

"THE HEART OF THE INTELLIGENT SEEKS KNOWLEDGE"

At the end of 2017, it was decided to combine the efforts of the library, the press service of the Vyksa diocese, the Vyksa theological school in the formation of historical knowledge and research skills, moral attitude to the traditions and customs of their small homeland among young people. Attention in the field of cooperation is focused on the main elements: holding joint local history events, information exchange, generalization of experience in the field of civil-patriotic and spiritual-moral education.

Local history today is considered one of the main directions in the work of our library. This is due to the fact that local history education and upbringing acquires a leading role in solving the problems of the patriotic and moral development of the individual.

The project is aimed at forming a system of local history knowledge among students of theological school and members of the Orthodox Knights organization.

The first videos were created jointly with the Youth Information Center and the city portal "Virtual Vyksa".

« MYSTERIES OF THE VYKSUN HISTORY »

As part of the targeted comprehensive program "Local History Library - a center for studying the history of Vyksa and preserving its cultural and industrial heritage" at the end of 2017, the project "Mysteries of Vyksa History" was launched. Since the library's mission is to preserve and revive the historical and cultural heritage of the city district, to nurture the patriotic consciousness of the population.

The library archive has accumulated many photographs that need to be identified. Many monuments have been lost, streets and courtyards have changed, it is difficult to establish the names of the people depicted in the photographs. Photos could not be attributed with the help of local historians. The librarians decided to turn to the people of Vyksa, for this purpose, together with the largest city portals, the Vyksa.RF news agency and the Virtual Vyksa website, they opened the Internet project “Mysteries of Vyksa History”.

As a result of the project, it is planned to attribute rare archival photographs. In addition, residents of the urban district will be involved in research activities, and young people will have an additional incentive to study the history of their native land.

Within the framework of the target complex program “At the Crossroads of Mutual Interests: Library, local historians, community” in 2013-2014. long-term social and cultural projects were implemented: "Noble people of Vyksa", "Monuments and memorable places of the Vyksa land", "Towards each other","Comfortable Environment as a Factor of Attracting Readers", "Vyksa Street Names".In 2016, the library continues to work on the implementation of the following projects: "Forgotten Villages", "Russian Spirit Here", "Digital Chronicle of the War", "History of Vyksa - in the public domain."

PROJECT "DIGITAL CHRONICLE OF THE WAR"
20,300 Vyksa residents took part in combat operations on all fronts of the Great Patriotic War, 6.5

thousand

- did not return from the battlefields. The names of many Vyksa residents who showed valor and courage during the war years remain unknown to the residents of the city district. None of the available sources, except for the Book of Memory of the Nizhny Novgorod Citizens Who Died in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. volume 5 (Vyksa district), 1994 edition, we will not find information about thousands of our fellow countrymen - participants in the Great Patriotic War. The access of various fund holders to the resources available in the district is also limited. For ten years, the employees of the city library "Fatherland" have been searching for and systematizing information about war veterans and home front workers - Vyksa residents. One of the ways to perpetuate the names of the defenders of the Motherland is the creation of the digital resource "Chronicle of the feat" on the basis of the archive collected by the library and its partners, within the framework of the project "Digital Chronicle

war." The resource will contain an electronic library, an archive of photo and video documents,

memoirs of war veterans. Placing the resource on the library website will significantly expand the readership and make the names of the defenders of the Fatherlandpublic property.

Financial support for this project is provided by the administration of MBUK
"Centralized Library System of the Urban District of the City of Vyksa" and JSC "VMZ", which is part of the United Metallurgical Company. In 2015, the library, which submitted the Digital Chronicle of War project for the competition, became a laureate of the OMK-Partnership competition for social and charitable projects. Four issues of the multimedia publication "Chronicle of the feat" were prepared for publication. Work on the search and systematization of the material continues. Great assistance in collecting information about the participants of the Great Patriotic War is provided by the Council of Veterans of the city district, primary veteran organizations.
Project "Russian Spirit Here"
The traditional culture of the Russian people is the basis for the formation of a national
self-awareness. Unfortunately, the interest in folk culture, customs, rituals, folklore, arts and crafts of our ancestors among the younger generation is declining. This process must be stopped. The Fatherland Library is actively involved in solving this problem. For a number of years, employees have been searching for and collecting items of peasant life, which made it possible to create an ethnographic exposition "A Corner of Life at the Beginning of the 20th Century." In 2016, on its basis, an ethnographic mini-museum was created, or rather, the museum room "Russian House". There are two permanent exhibitions here: “A fragment of the interior of a peasant hut of the late 19th - early 20th century”, “A fragment of the interior of a house in the first half of the 20th century” (a round table and Viennese chairs for the exposition were searched through social networks, they responded three days later). Authentic exhibits - witnesses of the past - recreate a picture of the traditional life and national identity of the Russian people. Using natural materials, people created convenient and necessary household items - utensils and utensils, agricultural tools, etc.

One of the honorarydonors, the real keeper of antiquity V.I. Sitkov, about 30items. Vasily Ivanovich not only collects and donates items of peasant life to museums, but also carefully restores them.

Items of folk life from the exposition of the hut are used in the design of subject exhibitions in the hall of industry literature and holding public events. The central place in the exposition of the hut was occupied by a wooden loom, donated and assembled recently. We hope that we will be able to refuel it and in the future demonstrate it to the tourists in action. Sightseeing and thematic excursions from the "Russian World" cycle, master classes in making dolls - amulets are held in the hall regularly for a variety of audiences, chamber gatherings during national holidays, such as Maslenitsa, Trinity, Apple Spas, Christmas time.

Project "Under the auspices of Barnabas of Gethsemane"

The Fatherland Library is actively searching for

Aimed at the study and preservation of local history material of spiritual and moral content. The library fund stores and is in constant demand documents collected from various sources in this area. The history of Vyksa is inextricably linked with the name of St. Barnabas of Gethsemane, the founderVyksa Iversky Convent, the spiritual patron of the Vyksa land. Everyone in Vyksa knows the name of the Monk Barnabas, but few know about his labors and deeds.

in the field of eldership and a real contribution to the dispensation of the monastery "on Vyksa". The ascetic service of the saint to people is an outstanding example for the education of spiritual and moral qualities among the inhabitants of the district. In order to more fully and holistically present information about the holy old comforter Barnabas of Gethsemane, it was decided to create a multimedia information publication within the framework of this project, which will be available to all categories of the population of the district and will become an important element of local cultural memory. The purpose of the project: the formation of spiritual and moral values among the population of the district through education on the example of the life and ministry of the elder of the Gethsemane Skete of the Holy Trinity St. Sergius LavraSaint Barnabas of Gethsemane. Among the tasks set are: to familiarize library users with reading spiritual and moral literature, including the created resource; organization of a complex of cultural and educational events to stimulate the development of citizens' interest in the name of St. Barnabas of Gethsemane.

Within the framework of this project, a series of events was organized:

 Meeting with Dean Fr. Dimitri (Kolokolov)
 Hour of Orthodoxy "Heavenly patron Barnabas"
 Hour of history "Iverskaya Abode"
 Hour of Orthodoxy “Son of Consolation”
 hour of history "Abbesses and clergymen of the Iberian Monastery"
 book and illustration exhibition “Here is my Athos and Iveria”.
In the multimedia publication, the authors-compilers sought to accumulate information about the highly venerated elder, whose name was widely known throughout Russia in the 19th century and canonized in 1995. The publication includes articles from periodicals, videos dedicated to St. Barnabas

Gethsemane. Interest will be caused by his spiritual heritage - the elder's letters to the inhabitants of the Iberian Vyksa monastery and his spiritual teachings. Particular attention is paid to the period associated with the establishment of the monastery "on Vyksa", which was one of the most important deeds in the life of an outstanding ascetic for 40 years. This resource briefly outlines the main events in the history of the Iversky Vyksa Convent, includes fragments of video films dedicated to modern events in the life of the monastery. The advantage of the publication is its illustrative range, including a selection of archival photographic materials from the collection of the Father's Land library and open sources on the Internet.
Users with vision problems can listen to the conversation of Archimandrite Georgy Tertyshnikov "Healing bodily infirmities by the elder Barnabas."
The e-book contains information about the best publications dedicated to Barnabas of Gethsemane and the Iberian Vyksa convent in the format of a list of publications, publications available in the fund of the city library "Fatherland" and posted on the Internet.

Project "History of Vyksa - in the public domain"
The mission of the local history library is to provide free access to local history information in any form. The local lore fund of the library, having a historical, cultural value, is unique, it is a fund of publications, often available in a single copy, the loss of which will be irreparable. A study of the needs of library users shows that today
they need both print and electronic
documents, so the libraryit is necessary to form a fund of high-quality electronic local history resources. This is achieved by creating your own electronic resources. Modern technologies make it possible to have extremely fast access to the richest sources of knowledge, regardless of where they are stored, and also ensure the rapid exchange of information. Unfortunately, today the library's unique collection of local lore is available to users locally, at certain hours (in accordance with the library's work schedule) and is not available to remote users. Under such circumstances, decide

the task of familiarizing the population with the values of the culture of the region is quite problematic. Expansion of opportunities for the population to access local history information and ensure
preservation of the local history fund based on new information technologies.
Project objectives: - filling the library website with local history content, improving the structure of the local history library website in order to generate interest in the history of the region,

-digitization of valuable local history publications on the equipment of partners and their placement on the Internet,
-creation and placement on the network of the electronic multi-volume resource "Chronicle of Feat" within the framework of the "Digital Chronicle of War" project;
- Digitization and placement on the Internet of the newspaper "Vyksunsky Rabochiy" for the 60s and 70s of the XX century;
-preparation and publication of local history studies, bibliographic indexes, thematic local history resources of its own generation.
- creation of the "Chronicle of the most important events of the urban district".

The target audience:
- Students, youth.
Project content:
The project is based on activities to create, digitize and provide unlimited access to local history, bibliographic and full-text sources of information.
Expected results:
- Free access to the cultural heritage of the region on the basis of new information technologies will be provided not only to residents of the city district, but also outside it, to every Internet user.

Project "Motherland in the Heart"

Local history activities of libraries are multifaceted, modern institutions successfully position themselves as centers of research, publishing and educational activities in local history. Among the areas of library local history in recent years, publishing has taken shape as an independent structure. Each library builds its own publishing strategy, the purpose of which is to preserve the historical and cultural heritage of the city district. The educational and local history direction of publishing activity is both filling in the gaps in local history literature, and introducing into circulation and popularization of local history knowledge, publishing the results of one's own research.

The city library "Father's Land" actively uses publishing opportunities to promote local history resources. The first reference books on the topic "Streets of Vyksa", "Sights of Vyksa" were prepared for publication by the library staff. Educational and local history publications are annually created by Vyksa librarians and local historians. This is a reference publication "Calendar of Significant Dates of Vyksa", local history almanac "Priokskaya Outback", local history essays.

The preparation of new editions is largely connected with historical and bibliographic research and search work. The result of researchResources are being created that have lasting value.

The local history project "Motherland in the Heart" is the next step in creating unique local history resources that can be used in practical, scientific, educational, and social activities.
The result of the implementation of the project "Motherland in the Heart" will be the preparation for publication of local history albums: "Memorials of Vyksa", "Sights of Vyksa".
The Vyksa Memorials resource will systematize information about the monuments of the Great Patriotic War, which will provide detailed descriptions and necessary information about the memorials located on the territory of the city district.
The resource "Sights of Vyksa" will accumulate information about persons and historical events, the memory of which keep monuments and memorable places of Vyksa.
The knowledge of citizens about the cultural and historical heritage of our district is limited to a narrow list of well-known objects, while on the Vyksa land there are 129 cultural heritage sites, more than 300 sights. The history of many of them requires study, disclosure and popularization among the townspeople. The issue of preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Vyksa is acute. That is why the library considers it its duty to contribute to the involvement of the population in the process of studying and preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the district. To this end, archival and bibliographic research will be carried out within the framework of the project "Motherland in the Heart", a competition of research works "Monuments is an incessant lecture hall" will be organized. The result of these events will be a high-quality resource "Sights of Vyksa".
The created publications will be of great interest, and not only one-time, they will be taken into account by all researchers of this topic.
The social usefulness of the project should be understood as the orientation of the library to improve the quality of life of users through the promotion of local history knowledge.
The implementation of the local history project "Motherland in the Heart" will be an important step in preserving the historical and cultural heritage, popularizing local history knowledge, and optimizing research work.

Project "Names of Vyksa Streets"

The names of streets and lanes did not happen by chance. In these names, for the most part, there is an indication of a historical event, a person known in his time, an everyday trait, they store the memory of the past. Some streets of our city have been renamed. When and why? Sloboda craft Vyksa has left a memory in the names that create the originality of Vyksa. And although toponyms are more tenacious than many material monuments, their preservation also needs to be taken care of. To revive first names means to tie the threads that come to us from the past. Streets and lanes became the heirs of the names of craft settlements. Their history is little known to Vyksa residents due to the lack of documentary sources, and this project is aimed at preserving what is dear to people. A schoolchild, student, teacher, history lover often lacks background information about this or that interesting historical object, event of his native land, about its outstanding figures. The library aims to provide equal opportunities for broad access for the entire population of the district and all visitors to the global information network to reference local history information relating to their native district.
The purpose of this project: Creation of high-quality local history information

Project "On the bookshelf - a book about the region"

Unfortunately, we must admit that it is not easy to attract young people to readingbooks, including on the history of the native land, therefore
libraries are looking for new
forms of providing local history
information. Today librarians take

Monuments of history and culture are a kind of chronicle of the life of a particular people, area. Monuments play an important role in the upbringing of the younger generations. A certain part of the monuments of the urban district has been identified and taken under protection. Unfortunately, some valuable monuments,

especially of local importance, remained unknown. The knowledge of citizens about the cultural and historical heritage of our district is limited to a narrow list of well-known objects, while on the Vyksa land there are more than 300 objects of cultural heritage.investigation of federal and regional significance. The history of many of them requires

study, disclosure and popularization among citizens. An equally important task is to identify monuments for inclusion in the list of monuments protected by the state. The librarians have made an attempt to create a complete list of cultural heritage sites in the district of Vyksa. Since the library

possessed only a small number of official documents, it was necessary to conduct a real study. The work was highly appreciated by the public, but we cannot consider it completed yet - work continues on clarification, photographic fixation of objects, and other aspects. Monuments of nature, archeology, toponyms, hydronyms are also included in the "List of objects of cultural heritage of the urban district of the city of Vyksa". 328 objects are described. "List of objects of cultural heritage of the urban district of the city of Vyksa" is the most valuable source of local history information, with the help of which the library performs numerous bibliographic references.
Within the framework of the project “Monuments and Memorable Places of the Vyksa Land”, work continues to clarify information about the monuments of history, culture, and architecture of the urban district. Changes and additions are being made to the Vyksa Landmarks register created by the library: information about new sights is entered, errors made many years ago by local historians are found (the story with the location of the monuments "Volost Administration" and "House of Merchant Deev": both had the same address). At the request of the library, N. Malyutin took photos of the monuments located outside the city limits. A number of material objects of historical and cultural value have been identified. The Council for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the city district recommended considering the inclusion of these objects in the Unified Register of OKN.

Created in 2012, the "List of cultural heritage sites of the urban district of the city of Vyksa" is not complete, work on it continues - additions and clarifications are being made. A reference database "Outstanding Vyksa residents" has been created.
The fruit of joint activity is the local history “Calendar of the city of Vyksa,
Library "Fatherland". significant dates of Vyksa” for 2013, 2014, 2015.

Various issues related to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the city district were resolved in a working order.
The first meeting of the Council for the Preservation of the Cultural Heritage of the Vyksa City District in 2015 was held at the Museum of the History of JSC VSW. The issue of the need to revise the concept of the hall “Dedicated to the Great Victory”, where the global context dominates, was again discussed. The initiative to perpetuate the memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union Nikolai Vasilyevich Budyuk, who lived before the war in the village of Motmos, was made by the head of the local history museum of the village of Motmos Petrova Natalya Vladimirovna. They also talked about the need to clarify a number of memorable dates of the city district, the dates of life of prominent Vyksa residents.
Various issues were discussed at the following meetings. Vladimir Vladimirovich Korolev presented his research on the alleged location of the first theater of the Batashev breeders. Issues of publishing activities were considered: preparation for publication of the next issue of local lore almanac, Calendar of significant dates, publication of books by young authors. The issue of including information on the following historical dates in the bill "On Memorable Dates and Holidays of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" was discussed: the foundation of the Vyksa Metallurgical Plant, the Vyksa Iversky Convent, the assignment of the status of a city to Vyksa, the dates of birth of Academicians A.M. Gornostaeva and V.P. Goryachkin. A number of problems were identified in the field of conservation of cultural heritage in the district, including the search for effective measures to support the custodians and popularizers of the cultural heritage of the district, such as P.M. The main work of the Council in 2017 was concentrated in several directions. The most successful was publishing. Not all initiatives have been successful. So, a petition for the preservation of an object with signs of OKN at 28 Red Square, alas, did not bring any results. The object has been demolished. But the initiative of the Council to perpetuate the memory of our fellow countryman Georgy Karzov received support - now this issue is under consideration by the administration. The Council took part in the discussion of the fate of buildings located in the area of historical buildings.

Not as active as we would like, but the local history lecture hall under the Council is starting to work. Provides methodological assistance to the museum community. The Council grows with new members. At the final meeting of 2017, Georgy Tatarskikh, Sergey and Alexandra Naumov, Tatyana Snegireva and Elena Stolyarova were admitted to the Council.
