The final heist in GTA 5's single-player mode is a daring raid on the Federal Vault, which is filled almost every day with armored cars filled to the brim with gold bars. As you might guess, this robbery is the pinnacle of the criminal career of all its participants. Therefore, it cannot be easy simply by definition.

There are two options for passing: "quiet" and "obvious". In the first case, we will need to organize an ambush on a convoy of armored cars following the bank for their precious cargo and take the place of collectors. After that, all that remains is to play your part and calmly pick up the gold from the vault. True, hiding, just as calmly, still does not work out, so you still have to uncover the rifles.

The second option is more difficult, but also more interesting. To begin with, you will need to drill, with the help of a drilling rig, a passage to the storage, after which, pick up the cells with gold to the helicopter and, fighting with a whole army of guards, make your way to the garage to hide. Then you will have to wait for an exciting chase and five stars wanted. Even with the delivery of gold to helicopters, not everything will go smoothly. It is difficult, but there will be more money.

Passage of the robbery Big jackpot (The Big Score)

It's not just a robbery, it's Big Jackpot! As Lester says, "We're going to make history" by robbing a Federal Vault full of gold bars. This robbery has two options for passing, which differ not only and not so much in methods, but more in reward: for a “quiet” passage you will receive much less money than for a “loud” one. But first things first.

Planning something as serious as robbing the Federal Vault is no easy task. The team is divided into two groups: Michael and Franklin will go to the vault to assess the security, and Trevor and Lester will fly in a helicopter to fix the route along which the cash machines are moving. After the route becomes clear, Lester asks to fly to the subway construction site next to the bank to inspect the unfinished tunnel, which is closely adjacent to the wall of the bank's vault. Before completing this mission, it is better to practice flying a helicopter if you have not mastered this skill yet.

Road spikes (Stringers)

For a "quiet" passage, we need road spikes that only the police have. We need to steal a police van parked in the parking lot of the police station. Follow the marker on the map, enter the area, through the fence at the back of the area. Then just get in the van and drive away. Just do not attract the attention of the guard, otherwise problems with the police cannot be avoided!

Gauntlet

The next thing you need for a "quiet" passage is a good escape vehicle that can also carry a load of gold bars. Muscle cars located in different parts of Los Santos are perfect for this purpose. The hacker will dump the location data of the cars on your phone, find each one and take it to Los Santos Customs near the International Airport. There you need to buy an improvement for the mission and take the cars to the garage located nearby. It’s better, moreover, not to spare money and “score” Gauntlets to the fullest - during the mission, this will surely come in handy for you.

This way of passing will bring you less profit, but it will be much easier than the "loud" one. At the beginning, go to the tunnel marked on the map and install road spikes. Collector trucks will appear soon. Once on the spikes, they will stop, and the team will take the collectors hostage. While the trucks are being re-tired, Michael appoints a "volunteer" collector to take them through bank security. This unfortunate person turns out to be a certain Cassie.
We get to the bank and, keeping a straight face, we pass through the security posts. A bank employee will meet us inside and check the documents. Follow him deep into the vault. Trevor and Cassie take carts loaded with gold and push them towards the trucks while still making small talk with the bank employee. The tension builds, but everything ends well - the trucks leave the bank and head to the meeting point.
Control switches to Franklin. Here you will need to control the traffic lights to guide the trucks through the city, do not let the Merryweather patrols find them. Once the trucks are in place and Cassie gets hers, get ready for a serious attack by the Merryweather mercenaries. Defend until the forces of the attackers run out, use all available weapons and often switch between characters. When the last mercenary finds his untimely death under your bullets, get into the cars and follow the rest of the team. Of course, you've already got a tail of police cars behind you, so don't forget to use Franklin's super ability so as not to crash the car.
Having reached the tunnel, drive, that there is urine, up to two trucks, with lowered ramps. On them you need to drive inside, before the trucks go outside the tunnel. Ready! Now it remains only to wait until Lester deals with the sale of production.

The Driller

For the "loud" option of passing, you will need an industrial driller used to build the subway. This colossus is at a construction site, as if specially for our convenience, placed on a truck platform. The mission can be completed without hiding if you are not afraid of a small confrontation with the police, but in order to receive the gold reward, it must be completed quietly, without making a fuss. Just try to shoot everyone in sight with a silent weapon, then get into the truck and drive the drilling rig to a point on the map.

Getaway Vehicle

This mission is also required for the "loud" version of the passage. Any four-seater and fast enough car will do. It is better not to spare money and tune it to the fullest, believe me, during a robbery, when you have five wanted stars and a whole army of police behind you, it will pay off. The car must be left in the parking lot of the bank.

Siding (Sidetracked)

Another necessary thing for the "loud" version of the passage is a locomotive with a railway platform, in order to have something to take away the booty. To begin with, they will give us control of Michael. They need to knock out two railroad workers at the station and switch the switch. Don't make a fuss or the mission will fail! When the train enters a dead-end branch of the track, control will switch to Trevor. Fly to the train in the Skylift cargo helicopter, pick up the locomotive and take it to the Sandy Shores airfield. Here you will need to carefully lower the locomotive onto the truck platform. After that, do the same with the railway platform.

If you want to earn some money at the end of the game, this option for passing the final robbery is just for you. In the beginning, Michael and part of the team distract the guards in the depository, while Franklin operates a driller in a subway tunnel. As soon as the vault wall collapses, quickly run inside and plant bombs on the doors of the cells with gold. Special Forces groups will begin to stay from different sides, fight them off, then roll the carts with gold to a hole in the ceiling of the tunnel, from where a helicopter will pick them up.
We switch to Trevor and take the helicopter out of the city, everything will be calm here, for now. We switch to Michael, make our way through the army of police officers, connecting with Franklin's group along the way, and move towards the parking lot, where we left the transport for the retreat. It will not be easy to break through, you will be attacked both from the ground and from the air, and in huge numbers, and with great zeal. We get to the car and begin to get rid of the chase. How to do it? We think you yourself know. You can just drive off into the sunset, leaving your pursuers far behind, or you can hide in some alley and wait there.
As soon as you get rid of the chase, control will switch back to Trevor. You need to bring the gold safe and sound to a moving train, not far from Sandy Shores. The only problem is that several Buzzard helicopters are chasing you. Fortunately, you have Lester on board, who is quite good with a rocket launcher. You only need to stand at the right angle to attack and keep the car level until it fires. After destroying all enemy helicopters, fly to the moving train and carefully drop the load onto the platform. Ready! Now big money is waiting for you! Head to the Sandy Shores Airfield to meet with the crew.

Possible loss of gang members

If Trevor fails to keep the helicopter level and Lester, in turn, fails to shoot down the attacking helicopters during the final phase of the Big Jackpot - Trivial Approach mission, the pilot of the second helicopter will eventually lose control, under attack from opponents and collapse to the ground, leaving the team without much of the loot. Such pilots can be Taliana Martinez and Eddie Thaw.

Karim Dentz can also die in both variants of the robbery. In a "silent" playthrough, if his riding skills are low, he will crash his Gauntlet while escaping and be arrested by the police.
In the "loud" version, if he is driving the second helicopter with gold and if his skills are low, he will crash into the wind generators and die.
